When I was younger, kids used to ask each other this question, as a trick to make you say gold weighs more than the same weight in feathers:

Then later, I read that due to the usage of a different scale of weight for metals, as opposed to other objects, a pound of feathers actually weighs more than a pound of gold; the “pounds” aren’t the same:
